Hmmm, I dunno Yorick. Another American disaster movie? I hate to say it but I even feel a little of KTJs cynicism regarding American exceptionalism whenever yet another American disaster movie comes out. And this in a year which saw how many people die in an earthquake in Nepal? We hear of apocalyptic disasters in places like China or Central Asia or sub-Saharan Africa with deaths running into the tens of thousands and aid agencies like Medecins Sans Frontieres overwhelmed by the sheer scale of human suffering and misery, and the Americans want us to believe the Apocalypse will be an American event?
Sorry Yorick for raining on the parade. It's probably a good kick-ass American movie. Glad you enjoyed it.

I don't mind a disaster movie if it is well acted....2012 was horrible.
