I finally am using Windows 8 on my new Microsoft Surface and lovin' it.
Now to get the Nokia Lumia 920 (running Windows Phone 8) when it is released in November:

Even Oprah said that the Microsoft Surface was the Mercedes-Benz of tablet PCs.

Sure am, because you can actually do stuff on it. I hope this will be like Windows 3.11 / Windows 95 all over again, where Microsoft succeeds in taking market share away from Apple and becomes a monopoly again. Once the Microsoft Surface Pro comes out, you watch businesses snap that baby up. Over 400 million laptops will be sold this year, most of them being Windows 8 based, and therefore they will have a dominant position when it comes to developers making Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 apps. .

lol Matt....I don't think I'd consider Oprah much good for endorsement......not since she recommended 50 Shades.

lol Matt....I don't think I'd consider Oprah much good for endorsement......not since she recommended 50 Shades. She is marketing gold, and that is why 50 Shades of Grey was so popular!

she has went down a few levels since finding out she is endorsed it. I thought she appreciated good writing.

lol....no Matt, not everyone. You should read some of the reviews from people who think it is horribly written and laughable.

I reckon Windows 8 is the equivalent of Windows Vista.
A totally new concept that had a shitload of glitches which weren't really fixed until Windows 7 came along to replace it with the same concept, but with most of the bugs ironed out.
I can see the same situation with Windows 8 and I reckon Windows 9 will be the refined version of it. So I think I'll stick with Windows 7 and wait until Windows 9 eventually comes along.

Ya gotta love Matt's sweeping generalisations: Everyone loved the book. Matt uses the term "everyone" very loosely ...
