So who has one? ;D
My daughter got a special deal with Optus and both of us got one a couple of months ago.....I have to say it is very hand and so easy to carry around in my bag. Using fb and proboards on it is also a breeze. Just wish I could plug a card reader into it.

They have an “i” at the front of the name, so I don't have one.

Hi Jody I resisted for a long time, waiting for Android to get its act together enough to be confident in one of the Android models (I have and HTC phone running Android) but in the end, decided to go wih the iPad ...one each for me and S.O. I must say, they have been really handy, epecially while travelling in unfamiliar teritory while on holiday...I was even able to log in and check work emails (sad, I know!) On returning home, we upgraded to iOS 6...so glad we didn't rely on the new maps to find our way around! It really is bad. I can't imagine Jobs would have allowed it to be released had he still been kicking!

Nope.... I want something useful. I cannot see how an iPad is at all useful, doesn't even have full word processing functionality. I will be purchasing a Microsoft Surface Pro, which will allow me to install mobile apps as well as every other software package designed for Windows 8. There are two versions of Microsoft Surface, there is the RT version which will run Windows RT (pre-order sales went online yesterday), and is a light version of Windows 8 (runs mobile apps only, as well as Microsoft Office RT). The other version is the Microsoft Surface Pro (goes on sale early 2013), which will run a full version of Windows 8 Pro, and will allow users to install both mobile apps as well as typical Windows applications. You can bet your bottom dollar that this tablet will be very popular among businesses, because it'll integrate seamlessly into their business. It will also be popular among average people. www.microsoftstore.com/store/msaus/en_AU/pdp/productID.257917600.

I await the day when I can have a computer chip and wirelss modem implanted into my brain so I don't even need any hardware to access the internet. Naturally, I'd be installing a proxy server so I can keep hackers & god-botherers out of my brain!
