seems so far the majority is in favour of deleting them. Hopefully I won't have to and those who join will participate on some level

2 years ago, I would have said not a chance. But over the years I've learned there is a group of people who are multi-nic'ers.

They tend to display the same IP address. Personally, I'm against culling members, because sometimes people join up, then don't post for a long time for various legitimate reasons. There are a few specialist messageboard forums I am registered to, which I seldom post at unless I have something specific I wish to tell people about, or have something to add to a topic. If any dormant nicknames start playing up at a later date, it is a simple matter for the Global Moderators to get rid of them at the time.
