Nah....I'm not a snitch....I don't go running off telling tales.
I do however sometimes reply to emails such as that and string the buggers along for months, just for amusement.

Often, they're not after money, but personal details such as date of birth and credit cards. My favourite is Vincent Cheng, who has been working these scams with a certain panache for years now. I often write to him, but he never responds. And then, there are the penis enlargers.

At one time, many years ago before ISPs began running their own anti-virus software to remove most nasties from emails before delivering them to you, I had my own anti-virus software setup to actually save every nasty it removed from emails to a secure folder. Over a period of time I built up quite a huge collection of various nasties.
Then, I used to retaliate towards spammers by clicking on reply and adding a few of the nasties from that secure folder and sending their email back to them. That is until somebody pointed out to me one day that the spammers were most likely using other people's email addresses and that I would have been sending those nasties to innocent people. So I stopped doing that.

One of my old flatmates received one of these letters in the mail and it looked so genuine.
I automatically knew it was a fake, but he really believed it and was going to contact them.
Out of frustration, I told him that perhaps he should go to the Police and check with them if it was legitimate.
He did that and he returned home and didn't speak to me for a while.
Lucky for him, I am not someone who believes bullshit like that.
