Exactly. There's plenty of extra assistance out there ... you just have to know where to look. For the average "dinky di" Aussie they won't find it but it's another matter for the refugee/asylum seeker advocates and community workers. They make it their business to find out exactly what these ethnics are entitled to and to ensure that every single one of them gets it! And believe me there's plenty out there once you start looking. Most of it comes from the NGOs that are funded by the govt so that it doesn't look like it's exactly coming from the govt. But it is. Unfortunately little mummy's boys like Richo take everything so literally. I mean, if it isn't on the DIMIA website then it just doesn't exist. Who would have thunk it, lol?? Perhaps you can enlighten us Stellar. What do these people get?

anything their hearts desire while in detention...
it's when they're cut loose in the community and left to their own devices you hear them squawking the dole isn't enough.... and over all the years we've been posting on message boards, posting up various articles on these very subjects, those articles were lost to the net copping that goes on..
the ones on Christmas island had special food flown in on Christmas day one year..

you know very well they were trafficked by air around the country to attend funerals that Australians paid for... they get internet access, phone access, food, clothing, sporting facilities, free amenities, schooling, health, medication... a host of stuff that average Aussies do not get... average Aussies on the dole have to pay with their dole all those things from their dole money.
do you think the government would fly me around the countryside to attend funerals?
I wouldn't even lower myself to accept charity like that!

Didn't one of the centre staff contract typhoid the other week? This is exactly how these illegals bring disease into our community. They come here without health checks and frankly, even AIDS, is not considered bad enough to reject them. In fact there is this attitude that it would be so terribly unfair to send them back where they can't get treatment. With attitudes like that they will continue to pour into the country. So hop straight onto our health system and let's see how fast we can run it down to third world standards. I mean, it isn't as if it's not already happening!! Simple logic will tell you this ... if you have vast numbers of people who haven't ever contributed to the system in the first place, you shouldn't expect your first world system to last very long. Simple logic ... the way insurance companies operate. And I am already a victim of this stupidity. I have had to work 12 hour shifts this week because of staff shortages. We just aren't having people replaced by agency staff due to the exorbitant cost. We are not being funded adequately because there just isn't the money to go around. Staff are in revolt and the way things are going, we won't have any staff for much longer as people resign. Since Labor took control, things have just got worse. When I first started at this facility 9 years ago the majority of staff were Australian. The workload was reasonably heavy but definitely achievable. Now the workload is NOT achievable!! Over the past 5 years things have changed. The staff are now mostly from overseas, many third world countries. They simply cut corners to get around the workload ... so standards are dropping. The Australian staff double their workload because they will not cut corners - it's as simple as that. We were trained to do a job the right way and will continue doing it that way until we drop - which will probably be sooner rather than later.

Is that right? The only food that gets flown into the Island is the Malaysian Airlines run that comes in on Saturdays, they fly McDonalds in from Malaysia and then sell frozen Big Macs and Quarter Pounders at the Boong Trading Company, along with fresh vegetables such as lettuce (which a head of will set you back somewhere around $18) because it's very difficult to grow anything on the island (there's some sort of worm in the soil which apparently enjoys any sort of food that we eat, the only naturally occurring edible plants up there are Paw Paws and Coconuts. That Island trivia aside Caskur, they haven't flown in any special meals for the clients at NWP, CC, Phosphate Bravo, Charlie, or Aqua-Lilac for the very basic reason that they have pretty decent kitchen facilities in every camp on the Island. Once again Caskur, reality has proven itself your implacable enemy.

Actually theyre among the sternest critics of our insane asylum-seeker detention and processing system. They're not called the 33 flavours of ice cream detention centres at all Flag, that's just a very strange claim to make. Ice cream is a fairly rare commodity around most detention centers but when it makes an appearance it comes in vanilla, vanilla, or vanilla. The food in detention centers (in the remote centers we eat the same meals as the clients) is okay, but it's nothing to write home about. Chicken and Rice is pretty much the De Jour dish wherever you go and you can see how much the employees at least enjoy it by the line up on CI at the Boong Trading Company on Saturday Afternoons for a $10 frozen Big Mac, or even how many employees pack no luggage when they come up, instead choosing to use their 23Kg luggage allowance to bring up a brocolli box full of frozen KFC. 33 flavours of ice cream? I wish.

TV Station?
There's a community radio station, but there's no TV Station on the Island. And Quarantine Station? The hospital has a quarantine area, and I believe part of CC prior to the arrival of refugees in the mid 90's was used as a short term holding station.
What era did your cousins and uncles allegedly perform those tasks Caskur?

But what bothers me is that normally a government pays soldiers to protect the citizens. Now we have the governments paying terrorists to murder the citizens. Which terrorists have which Government paid? Names please.

Yeah, I'd like to know how they can claim that a Christmas Meal was flown in for refugees at any time prior to 1998 when up until the 2000's we didn't keep asylum seekers on Christmas Island. NWP wasn't built till 2004 or so and CC (Constructon Camp) was the accomodation for the guys building NWP and only after NWP's completion was it then turned into a detention center in its own right. The other facilities have all come into being after those first 2. Two buildings were used in the old days, one down at the waterfront next to the petrol station, and Tai Jin House (the administrators traditional residence) for women and children, both were strictly short term (until they could get a plane in to transit them to the mainland) which meant a stay on the Island of normally less then a week. And that in itself would pretty much preclude any asylum seekers being on the Island during Christmas because the boats pretty much stop at the beginning of December because of the Monsoon. Either you're making this one up Caskur, or someones been having a lend of you and as usual you swallowed it hook line and sinker. Hopefully I've set your mind at peace and you can rest easy knowing that we do not fly in special meals for asylum seekers at Christmas.

Well, if it's a news story then typing into Google Christmas Dinner flown in for Asylum Seekers on Christmas Island should bring instant results.
Yet, nothing appears when you do so.
You made it up Caskur and got caught out. Do you ever wonder why it is you need to make up fiction to justify your beliefs?
